St. Andrew’s Church - Free Lunchtime Concerts and Children's Art Exhibition 

Sunday 23rd July
10.30am Holt Festival Service
The Parish Eucharist will be offered in Celebration and Thanksgiving for the Arts by the Revd Canon Howard Stoker. For details of the guest preacher please check the website www.holtchurch.org. All are very welcome.

Monday 24th July
12.30pm Nick Beever excels in the field of songs of the British Isles and German Lieder. 
He will present an eclectic mix of old favourites and hidden gems for Baritone.

Tuesday 25th July
12.30pm The Wyre Forest Young Voices
We are honoured to have been invited to host this well known youth choir at the start of their Norfolk Tour which will include a concert in Norwich Cathedral.

Wednesday 26th July
12.30pm “Flutissimo”
Anna Hopkins (flute), accompanied by David Morgan (piano and organ) will perform a recital to include music by Quantz, Gershwin, Chaminade, Rheinberger & Arnold Cooke.

Thursday 28th July
12.30pm “The Lighters”
The popular local trio: Chris (electro acoustic guitars), Giselle (vocal), and Dan (keyboard) will play covers and originals in various styles of music from the 50's onwards.

Friday 28th July
12.30pm “The Sheringham Shantymen”
Need no introduction as the concluding performers of this week's concerts. We welcome this popular group to the St. Andrew's Festival Fringe to provide our final event of lively entertainment for all ages & tastes.

A Children's Art Exhibition of “A Host of Angels” will be on show in the Church throughout the week (viewing restricted during services and events).
Large and small flights of angels, made of Norfolk Reeds and Paper, by children from Holt Community Primary School, suspended around the church.

DIY DJ at the Punk Office - Holt Vinyl Vault (old Post Office)
Saturday 22rd July to Sunday 30th July 10.00am - 5.00pm. Free Entry
Unleash your inner DJ. Join the vinyl revolution as you spin discs of your choice from the racks on or DJ decks. Free Tim Peak's coffee and live music performances too. 

"GREASE" is the word
Saturday 22nd July 7.00pm Holt Community Centre. Free Entry
Have you ever wanted to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady? Now's your chance to don those pink jackets, grease up those quiffs, or just come and sing-along. Non-alcoholic Pink Lady and T-bird cocktails anyone? Community Cinema Event (Dressing-up optional!). Food will be available in the interval and before the film (free but donations welcome). Carmina Burana.
Sunday 23rd July 4.30pm Gresham's Chapel. Tickets £12 or free for Under 18s. Available from www.audentheatre.co.uk or on the door. 
Carl Orff's masterwork Carmina Burana is ever popular with singers and audiences alike. This concert marks the end of a weekend of rehearsals lead by members of The Monteverdi Choir and The Sixteen who will form 'The Arkell Ensemble' and perform solo items by Britten and Stravinsky. www.greshams.com/Come-and-Sing-course.

Beer and Bridges – A supper and talk on Holt's neglected architect.
Sunday 23rd July 7.00pm - 9.00pm, Kings Head, Letheringsett. 
Historian Margaret Bird describes the largely unknown work of Holt’s William Mindham (1771-1843) at a public house he designed. He built houses, bridges and chapels, and remodelled the Hall and brewery at Letheringsett. To book telephone 01263 712691 or email info@kingsheadnorfolk.co.uk.

Working Artist in Gallery

Children's Glass Coaster Making Classes
Monday 24th July - Saturday 29th July, 11.00am - 4.00pm, Driftwood Glass Studio. £10 per participant.

Design and create your own special Glass Coaster in a 30 minute glass making class. 8 per session. All children must be accompanied. To book 01263 710042.

Flower arranging demonstration, and exhibits by Holt and District Flower Club with a book title theme.

An opportunity to learn a little about flower arranging and see how easy it can be to create beautiful arrangements from all sorts of unusual things - plus flowers of course. Advance booking advisable through the library (01263 712202) as space is limited.

Paint a Holt Owl
Monday 24th July 2.00pm - 4.00pm, St Andrew's Parish Hall. £8 per child.

Free Knitting/Dress Making Advice & Pompom Making

Free knitting, dress making advice& Pompom making classes. No booking necessary. Just turn up - up to 8 per session. All children must be accompanied.

The Art of Sugarcraft  - come and watch or learn to make a simple sugar model.
Tuesday 25th July 2.00pm - 5.00pm, demonstrations 2.00pm - 3.00pm; workshops 3.30pm - 4.00pm and 4.30pm - 5.00pm, St Andrew's Parish Hall. Demonstrations free, Workshops £2.50 per participant

The afternoon will include demonstrations of sugarcraft technique plus workshops offering an opportunity to try out techniques for yourself. Afternoon tea available. All children must be accompanied. North Norfolk Photographic Society Exhibition
Wednesday 26th July - Friday 28th July 9.30am - 3.30pm, St Andrew's Church Hall. Free Entry.
Annual Photography Exhibition of the members of the North Norfolk Photographic Society. Images include natural history, street photography, still life and portraiture. Many of the Society members have won awards for their stunning work.

'The H-Music Factor' Final

Come along to hear the top 6 bands from the play-offs compete in the final.

Sharing knowledge and memories, and valuing different perspectives, people become living books, recalling where they were born and perhaps have lived all their lives.
