Frank Gardner OBE, BBC Security Correspondent, will be in conversation with Alex Dunlop, Defence Reporter, BBC TV News (East).

Frank will be discussing the themes and ideas behind his second novel, ‘Ultimatum’. His debut novel, ‘Crisis’, published in 2016, was a Sunday Times bestseller. His non-fiction work includes his acclaimed memoir, ‘Blood and Sand’, taking in his time as the BBC’s Middle East Correspondent.

He will also be talking about the challenges of writing fiction versus non-fiction, his life as a broadcast journalist and his travels including his trip last year to Papua New Guinea to fulfil a lifelong ambition of seeing a bird of paradise in its natural habitat.
