The Red Card Comedy Club are delighted to have joined up with Holt Festival to present a night of top class comedy, hosted by the incomparable Rich Wilson.
Sell-out veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and one of the country’s most sought after comedy club headliners, The Noise Next Door leave audiences everywhere in awe of their lightning-quick wit and totally original comedic talents. They have been performing their own distinctive brand of off-the-cuff comedy since they met at university.
Taking audience suggestions, the cheeky and charming quartet transform them into fantastically funny scenes and songs in the blink of an eye with a perfect blend of ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories, and explosive physicality.
The Noise Next Door have appeared on BBC One, BBC Three, ITV1, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4, they were nominated for a Chortle Award in 2014, and have performed alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Al Murray, and Harry Hill. Having received standing ovations in front of corporate dinners, the British Armed Forces, secondary school students and even fans at the Download Heavy Metal Music Festival, they are also one of the most versatile acts in the business.
Unstoppably funny and uniquely talented, The Noise Next Door are the stand out comedy act of their generation. They’re joined by Live At The Apollo talent Javier Jarquin.
We’re really excited to be welcoming them all to kick off Holt Festival 2023 with an evening of great comedy entertainment!
Rich Wilson - MC is a self proclaimed ‘working class geezer with a cheeky glint in his eye’, and is a gifted comic with a goldmine of funny tales and an arsenal of gags to choose from. He is undoubtedly one of the finest club comedians, and is popularly regarded as the UK's best MC with his up-front ‘tell it like it is’ delivery and roguish charm.
Javier Jarquin is an award winning New Zealander now based in the UK. He's a witty quick-hitter with an impressive joke rate and easy command of the stage. Seen on Live At The Apollo and The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan (C4). SGFringe said “...Jarquin is beyond talented…draws the audience in like an industrial magnet".
